What a whirlwind it’s been! No one anticipated what happened. (Eagle News) — The Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office recommended no bail for Felix Nathaniel “Angel” Manalo on Wednesday, March 8, after it found probable cause for the charges of illegal possession of firearms filed by the police against him on Friday, March 3.
In his two-page resolution, Quezon City senior assistant state prosecutor Nilo Penaflor, also found probable cause for the filing of criminal charges against Victor Erano “Jem” Hemedez, Manalo’s nephew, who was found to be in possession of the unlicensed high-powered firearms and ammunition when police made arrests at no. 36 Tandang Sora on Thursday, March 2. (Eagle News) — The Quezon City police district chief said they would file complaints for illegal possession of firearms against 27 expelled Iglesia Ni Cristo members, including siblings Felix Nathaniel “Angel” Manalo and Lolita “Lottie” Hemedez, who were rounded up on Thursday for questioning.
This was after police found a cache of unlicensed firearms and ammunition in their residence at no. 36 Tandang Sora Avenue in Quezon City Thursday morning.
Chief Superintendent Guillermo Eleazar, QCPD director, said Angel Manalo and the others who were brought to the QCPD for questioning could not present any license of ownership for the firearms seized by the police in their residence.

(Eagle News) — More than 30 expelled members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo were rounded up by authorities on Thursday, March 2, after two policemen who were serving a search warrant inside the compound where they lived despite being ejected by a court were shot.
Angel Manalo, Lottie Hemedez and several others were taken into custody by members of the Quezon City Police, who also found a cache of firearms–including an M16, a shotgun, a rifle grenade, and a .cal .40 pistol— inside No. 36 Tandang Sora. Deception #180 – Totoo daw ang kahabag-habag na kalagayan ng mga tiwalag sa loob ng #36 Tandang Sora… Totoo daw pala ang mga kaapihan na nababasa tungkol sa mga tiwalag sa Social Media.
Ako ay personal na nagpapasalamat sa Diyos na makitang nakalabas na ang mga tiwalag sa loob ng #36. Sapagkat nalantad na ang tunay na katayuan ng mga sinasabing “inaapi, ginigipit at ginugutom” sa loob ng #36 Tandang Sora Compound. Nakita rin na dalawa lamang sa mga anak ni Ka Erdy ang nasa loob ng compound na iyon. Taliwas sa nais ipahiwatig sa mga banner photos na paboritong gamitin ng mga tiwalag sa social media.
Sa awa ng Diyos sa loob ng halos ay magdadalawang taon na diumano’y nanganganib ang kanilang buhay ay buhay na buhay sila! Kumpleto pa ng mga sandata para ipagtanggol ang kanilang sarili. Di naman kaila sa mga nakakakilala na noong buhay pa ang kanilang ama ay mahilig si Angel sa baril, di ba?
